Children develop PTSD after a traumatic event

As many as one in three students who experience a traumatic event might exhibit symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

72%

About 72% of children and youth in the United States will have experienced at least one stressful event before the age of 18 (Deryck, Silver, & Prause, 2014).

According to the American Psychological Association, the trauma can:

  • Lower students’ academic performance

  • Lead to more school absences

  • Increase the possibility of dropping out

  • Result in more suspensions and expulsions

  • Fundamentally impact a child’s reading ability

ACTIVITIES FOR YOUR GOAL BOSS LESSON PLAN

Educate children in a fun, hands on way with our lesson plan activities!

VISION BOARD MAKING

Vision Boards help you define your goals and visualize them. Some even use them as a daily reminder to look at and take steps to achieve those goals each day.

OUR FUN + EDUCATIONAL WORKSHEETS

Teach children how to be a Goal Boss with our fun and educational worksheets we created ourselves to ensure free access to resources for these children.

CARD MAKING FOR OUR NONPROFIT

A great way to give back to our cause and take a brain break is having children write cards with encouraging messages to go to children impacted by disasters.

VISION BOARD MAKING

Making a vision board can be a super simple yet effective and fun way to visualize your goals.

Some even keep their vision boards out to remind them to take action to achieve their goals every day.

You can view this article about how to make a vision board or contact us for a Vision Board Making Party with your organization/business.
