COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD WINNER
Comfort Bears in a Catastrophe Founder, Mimi Hymel, was honored with a community service award for her work with Comfort Bears from Girlbossing Inc., a major women's empowerment organization that is now a Miss America sponsor. We were chosen from hundreds of projects and organizations in a competitive process.
Mimi was honored at a reception for hundreds of citizens in California to discuss our important work and dedication to serve our community.

2021 PROCLAMATION FROM MURRIETA, CA MAYOR, SCOTT VINTON
Comfort Bears in a Catastrophe Founder, Mimi Hymel, was honored with a community service proclamation from the Murrieta, CA city Mayor, Scott Vinton.
Mimi was honored by the city's mayor for the work Comfort Bears in a Catastrophe does, and went to pick up the recognition at their city hall.

2023 Recognition from Daisy Mountain Fire Department
Comfort Bears in a Catastrophe was recognized for their donation to the Daisy Mountain Fire Department in Anthem, Arizona.
