8 inch bear. This pattern would be perfect for a beginner since its all sewn flat in one piece. You don’t need to join arms and legs separately.

More complex pattern bear
11 inch bear. Fun patchwork-style teddy bear. Could suit an adventurous beginner with some sewing skills.
